Match Report
Marlborough College Malaysia 1st XI vs  Regents International School Pattaya
On: Friday, 24 Nov 2017
Venue: Away

After our first match, the boy's were able to reflect on a good performance, but had five hours to do so, before our match against Regents. The boy's showed fantastic motivation and concentration despite this break and were spurred on by facing my former school. Having inside knowledge on the opposition players was useful for the boy's and they took real confidence from knowing what to do before stepping onto the pitch.

The first half was a tight affair, Regents perhaps had the better share of the play and had better chances, but possession was very even and neither team could complain at coming in at half time drawing.

In the second half, we got ourselves into the game a lot more but the turning point in the fixture came when Regent's central midfielder was able to shake the ball past his man and forced Raffi into an excellent one-handed save down low to his right. This became a catalyst and not too long after, MCM went up the other end of the pitch and won a free kick right on the edge of the box. Kevan stepped up and after having to wait some time to take the freekick, was able to accurately curl the ball into the corner. MCM stood firm and rarely conceded any chances to Regents from that moment on, leaving us with a second win from two games and another clean sheet.

MVP - Raffi

Goals - Kevan Singh
